6 Healthy Habits For Working Women

While some women can carry out daily workout routines, some of us just simply can’t be bothered to spend an hour at a gym every single day. But that doesn’t mean we can’t incorporate healthy habits without pulling some serious muscles. Healthy living isn’t all about “leg days” and 5-day juice cleanses. Most of us—who don’t regularly work out—tend to turn to quick fixes after late night drinks and burger cravings. And we all know that actually doesn’t do us any good especially when you’re a working girl who spends most of her time sitting on a desk.

So if you’re looking for ways to upgrade your health while you’re on duty, scroll down below for 6 maintainable habits you can easily practice everyday.

1. Wear sneakers on the way to work.

Whether you’re commuting on the way to work or running to fix errands during breaks, a pair of sneakers motivates you to walk to distant places. You get to walk comfortably, lose a few calories, and look stylish while you’re at it!

2. Take the stairs.

This is a no-brainer. A little physical activity is still physical activity. Regardless of how many steps it takes to get to your floor, it’s important to be consistent to really make a difference.

3. Buy a Fitbit and download the app.

Fitbit Alta HR

This heart rate wristband helps you reach your fitness goals in style. It not only tracks your all-day activity like number of steps, distance, calories burned, hours of sleep but reminds you to reach your hourly goals and also connects to your smartphone for notifications display.

4. Pack healthy snacks.

We know, we know. A pack of chips, a bar of Snickers, and a sugar-coated donut is always tempting. But instead of munching on junk food, cut back on (evil) sugar and look for alternative snacks to chew like nuts, bananas, or Greek yogurt.

5. Hydrate every half an hour.

The biggest weight-loss secret of Hollywood celebrities and A-list models isn’t so much of a secret after all. Drinking water is a natural necessity. But try keeping a water bottle on your desk, drink every half an hour, and refill when your done throughout the day.

6. Exercise your eyes.

Spending hours staring at your phones and computers can give you headaches and even major migraines that decrease your energy. Make sure to relieve digital eye strain by looking away from the screen every 20 minutes and gaze at a distant object or walk away from your desk and talk a quick walk outside.
